Gavin Brown Painting
The somber facial expressions portrayed in Gavin Brown‘s paintings seem to balance with the upbeat and vibrant colors he uses. Although the Australian painter’s surrealistic graffiti style uses luscious and bold colors, the paintings are left with an unexpected sinister ambiance within the deep stares of his subjects. Brown combines subjects that are not typically complementary and does so in a fluid and minimal fashion that leaves viewers intrigued and amused …
“Leave you alone” Young Jeezy feat. Ne-Yo (trailer)
It’s not too often that a video trailer, let alone a music video trailer makes you really stop what you’re doing and think But more so, FEEL. I’ve long been a fan of Taj as a director and photographer. His work seems to get better and better as he gradually progresses. Each one of his videos are remarkable in their own right because unlike most directors, he tells a story. Before most of his videos are released he does a trailer, taking the viewer on a journey. The journey to connect with the artist, to feel their struggle, their pain, their ambition. More than anything his trailers gives you a glimpse of what exactly the song means to HIM as a director, from an angle that us as viewers may not notice.
Taj’s work stands alone from anything out now because he leaves his personal stamp on it. He gives you that raw essence coming from a kid from grew up on the streets of Oakland, CA. This trailer to me is one of the best Taj has ever put together, the feeling, the story, it touches all of us in some way.

“Macchiato Music” D-Why
Easily one of the waviest videos out. The background being set in Europe, The imagery, the vibe, the opening sample. This is definitely something new and different that music and the game has been missing. I’ve always been a fan of artist who are willing to step outside the box and go against the norm, this is worth taking note of. D-Why is one of those artist I hope stays around for awhile, and keeps kicking out that “oxford, sex in the city rap” . Look out for his upcoming mixtape properly titled Don’t Flatter Yourself …
Living Life
As I grow older, the urge to write gets less and less. I’ve pretty much spewed out everything I have to say, none of which has been particularly monumental. I’ve written articulate stuff, reasonably bright stuff over the years, but nothing that will stand the test of time. The good writing, like wine, has to age well with the years, and my stuff is momentarily adequate …
“VanillaSky” - Ndeluv
The visual to Ndeluv’s “VanillaSky” off his mixtape #hoodmusic (Goodhighmusic) ..
This artist is probably one the best new artist you haven’t heard of. He comes from the Bay Area, San Francisco, my hometown to be exact. His musical style is something you’ve never heard of. He’s one of those rare artist that does everything himself, from producing, to writing, to singing. It all comes together to be an incredible collection of music that definitely needs to be taken note of. He’s currently working on his next mixtape titled #8911 which will definitely be game changer.
I won’t go into too much more detail, just check out and download the mixtape and see for yourself. Quality music needs no words, it speaks for itself. Tell a friend to download asap. #Download
